I met a young 21 years old Muslim man on the street under a bright sun. he stopped at my protest sign and asked what was going on. I told him that on Jesus Christ can save our souls. He is about 6'1 height, small build. He said that he believe in science and does not deny God. but he believe more in doing something by himself to help other poor and oppressed people. He shared he was in Syria and witnessed more than 50 people were killed on the street. He said, he could not forget what the impact on him. He testified that his cry and his tear and pain within him was not religious related at all, but be on those people as human beings just like him. He said, they could be your family members, your friends, and relatives. when you were there, your felling and understanding were complete different when you are in a remote and peaceful country to learn from the news. He also testified that he could not eat when he saw a street kid in Syria picked bread on the street to eat in order to survive. He ran to his room to cry and pray that one day he could save many of them, or just some of them. What a gentle heart full of compassion.
I asked him, what happens when he only could save a hand full people while many of others continue to die every single day. " I cannot help to change all, But I will try my best to help least a few of them." "Good young man. but justice and righteousness are far greater than just to help a few. For justice and righteousness will help all to get what they must and should deserve. Not only a short peaceful earthly living, but also a joyful everlasting living." "I cannot see that. If I do not see, I cannot believe. " "But you do not see math. yet, you accept that 1 plus 1 equal to two. but one female egg plus one male sperm makes a baby. you see."
we both laughted. He continued to try to find whether his thinking to be a good person and help a lot of others by his own strength is correct, whether religion or non-religion shall not be a matter to his goal, or whether his ideology can go very far. Certainly, we will not agree as I am very bold and strong on the Truth, the Way, and the Life. Yet, I paid much attention to hear what his gentle crying heart was out pulling.
He thanked our time to be together for each other and departed to catch his bus. I prayed for Muhammad, his name, that one day, he may hit the wall to know that his own strength will not prevail any thing. This world is complete evil and corrupted. Only with the power and righteousness of the Christ Jesus, we might stand and live a life to honor Him. We may live a peaceful life among the wolves and beasts. Amen.
Yesterday, July 31st 2016, I met an elegant lady who is a Christian at her age of 90's. She knows me while we met on the street several times through the years. Yesterday, when she saw me, she called me aside and shared something with me personally.
she told me that she was in the downtown to celebrate the BC holiday. But she saw the gay pride parade on the street. her eyes were watering and her face became so painful looking when she tried to recall what she saw. she said, " what was this? what happened to those people? do they ever remember our God?" "I told my daughter not to be any near to them by forgetting our G-d and his commandments." "I was crying. My tears ran down in my heart and on my face." Certainly, when I observed her, some of her sadness and painfulness also entered me heavily. I knew that her righteous heart was crushed by what happened on the street today. I knew that her righteous soul will be hurt day after night in all her prayers. I also remembered what the Bible recorded, when Sodom and Gomorrah sinned heavily against God in all kinds of sexual immoralities, Lot's righteous soul was tortured day and night when he saw all those immoral conducts and thoughts and minds within the city where he and his family lives. he knew that was sinful and wicked. Yet, he yielded nothing to them. Praise the Lord when I heard the righteous soul of this elderly sister cries for the unrighteousness and darkness of this world, I encouraged her, "Your righteous heart tormented by them will by remembered by the Lord. have faith and He is coming soon." She appeared still in a shocking state while she recalled all those filthy and unfathomable falling of some human beings. My heart was so painful when I felt her pain. I encouraged her again to pray for them and ask for forgiveness of our G-d so that some of them might be saved.
Oh, G-d my Father. I know that you observed and felt the same pain in our hearts in that moment. This is what your righteousness about. this is why your Son came to die. Love is so pure that it asks us to suffer for this evil torture in our hearts. Love is so deep that we have been so engulfed by you and only can cry before you for those wickedness and darkness. When your justice and righteousness will reign? when your mercy and grace come to an end to bring the new Era of your Kingdom? May you increase our faith and our strength to bear such pain in our hearts and in our souls. May your Name be exalted forever and ever, never ending.
Called to serve, Called to stand, called to testify the Truth.
