Last Saturday evening, after church worship service, I went to Metrotown skystrain station to do some outreach preaching. While I was standing there, I felt so exhausted as I had been standing in Richmond for three hours that afternoon. Now, I thought to be there just for an hour and go home rest. However, one church sister who was driving by and saw me and greeted me with a loud voice. then, the other unknown sister walked to me, and asked me whether I went to our Church this evening at Willingdon. I said yes. She said "I gave you the brochure, do you remember?" "Honestly, I do not remember your face." I felt some kind of guilty as someone paid attention to me in the church but I could not notice. Then, she told me that she saw me a few times at the same place and thought she saw me in the church. therefore, this Saturday, she took a careful look at me when I was in the church, and she knew that the person whom she saw on the street was the same in the church. She was very happy to know that. I was very happy too as some Christian in our church noticed my outreach preaching work. I told her that our church does not promote outreach preaching like this. She said, "You do what G-d called you to do. we serve G-d not people." I was surprised by her encouraging words. then, she insisted to share her story with me. I said go ahead.
Her name is Laura. She told me that she is a widow. Later last year, when she was sitting at home, she did not feel anything strange, but when she stood up, she noticed that she could not hold her position. when she was about to fall, she cried out by saying" Jesus, help me." then, she felt on the floor. she could not remember how long she passed out on the floor after she woke up and stood up again. I said,"Praise the Lord." "yes, Jesus said me at that time."
Early this year, she went to see a doctor and her family doctor said she was fine during the regular check. But by no reason she insisted her doctor to have a blood check on her. She testified that she knew not the reason but just like God was telling her to ask for a blood test. She insisted twice then the doctor gave her the form to do blood test. The night of her blood test, she got a call and was asked to go to emergency right away. She called her daughter to get second opinion and her daughter asked her to go right away. The cause was one of the factor in her blood test was 10 times higher than the normal status. She went to the emergency that night and the doctor inserted a stent in her heart next day. She testified that without the blood test, she could have left this world and she thanked G-d for saving her life once again. Praise the Lord. without asking, I believed that it was such grace from the Lord she started to do some ushering work at the church. As our church does not encourage such testimony to be shared publicly, she found me and could not stop sharing with me. Praise the Lord to give me an opportunity to know his wonderful deeds in some genuine Christians.
Praise the Lord.
while I was driving home, my heart was pondering on why G-d wanted her to share her stories with me. Then "Praise his Name" kept coming into my mind and my heart. our G-d wants his people to acknowledge him and his wonderful deeds. He wants us to exalt him and his Name in this dark and fallen world. Praise you and your wonderful deeds, my God and my Saviour. Our G-d and our Savior. May your Name be lifted high and may Your grace and blessings be abundant upon those who fear you and love you. Amen forever.
Laura, let us praise the Lord whenever we have time and strength. Laura, let us Praise Him. Amen.
Called to serve, Called to stand, called to testify the Truth.
