March 29 2015, I met two groups of young Mormons on the street. They all are one type of black or dark dressed. They appeared all love the Lord and know the Bible. I met a young Mormon and asked him a question, "Brother, can you tell me whether other Christians who are not Mormons can go to Heaven?" He told me before he was a Mormon since he was young as he was born in a Mormon family in Utah. His eyes looked away and down and tried to find a suitable answer to defer my piercing question. "If they read the Book of Mormon and believe it, they can be saved."
I fixed his eyes with mine, and told him,"see, you were cunning now. You could not answer the question directly. Jesus taught us, "let your yes be yes, no be no."" "I did not read that in the Bible." "That may not be the exact wording. But they are in the Bible." I felt weak as I do not tend to memorize the citations of the Bible verses. Forgive me and help me to remember more. He realized that I was very sharp and straight. He said, "our church teaches the truth that everyone must know the Book of Mormon and believes will be saved." "So you deny other Christians who do not read the Book of Mormon will not be saved?" I tried to force him to get the straight answer as I perceived that many of them have a good heart to serve the Lord but were misled. A face-to-face confronting of their conscience is crucial to share whether they truly love the truth and see the reality. His partner came to rescue him to go away from my strong battle. I told him more, "the Bible teaches us to worship one G-d and one Lord Jesus Christ. Believing in the Book of Mormon causes us to commit spiritual fornication. You Mormons must repent as our G-d is Holy and One."
They left with a good "goodbye". I shouted to their backs, "Do not drag others to your church if you are deceived." "Repent and open your eyes to other Christians' faith." They walked away without reply.
Today, Good Friday, I met another group of young Mormons. After a few exchange of greetings, we came to similar talk. I asked a similar question to the young fellow, he said straight, "Everyone has a chance to listen to and read the Book of Mormon. If they do not believe, they cannot go." "Are you sure about what you believe? what about the Catholics? 0.7 billion Catholics they will not go to heaven based on Mormonism?" "Everyone has a chance. If they do not believe the Book of Mormon, they will not." The other fellow came to grab him as they felt that such arguing was too much. I told them, "our G-d is Love. are you loving others truly? " "if you believe only Mormons can be saved, you really do not know what is love and how to love." "Do not be deceived. and repent from your spiritual fornication now." "Have a good day and we will find someone else. you can talk to some one else too." Apparently, those kids are quite well manners even if their little conscience were provoked. I pray that their little true faith in our Lord Jesus Christ one day will save them truly when they abandon the other side of their belief in salvation.
