I joined a business trip to Tokyo in the early March. As I stayed a hotel near the Emperor Palace of Japan, I decided to follow what G-d instructed Israel to do when they came to a strong city: Jericho. Joshua, son of Nun instructed his people with divine revelation to circle the city six days, each day a circle. and on the seventh day, he ordered to circle the city seven times and blow the trumpet at his command. The city of Jericho was fallen without any man's force but by the command of the Lord of the Hosts. (Joshua 6:1-21). As I was alone, I decided to go by myself and with the help of the Lord and my trust and faith in Christ Jesus to take down the evil force around that place and the country.
In the first morning, I ran around the Palace in a stead pace. It was about 4.8 kilometers in distance. while I was running, I was listening to two hymns constantly to encourage myself to pray for Japan and its people for their salvation. I finished it about 30 minutes due to unfamiliar of the trail. Then, I went back to the hotel and went to work after breakfast. The subway stations are quite distanced from each other and there are many stairs and many of them have no escalators. I felt some stiffness after a full day work when I tried to step down or claim up. The pain of my low back and hip were very uncomfortable. Yet i managed to get back to my hotel.
In the Second morning, I woke up and decided to go the second morning and pray. my thighs were killing me as they were over worked last day and the sourness and stiffness were up to the roof. I could not think to give up as that was the second day. I put on gears as the outside temperature was about 3 to 5 Celsius degree. The ran took about 50 minutes as the pain hurt me a lot. I stopped not praying for the Japanese and their country as many of them know not Jesus Christ, the only and One Savior for all humanity. I went back to the hotel and soaked myself in a hot water bath. I knew if I did not help myself, I would not be able to go to work during the day. Each step of their long and steep stairs could cause me to fall if I gave up to the pains of my back and my thighs. I used the rail rings a lot in order to balance myself on the go. If there is an elevator, I would spend time to wait in order to reduce the inflammation or reduce the risk of further injuries to my body. The day passed by quickly and at night when I came back to the hotel, I soaked myself again in hot water bath to manage the pains of my body.
In the third morning, the alarm woke me up and as usual, I dressed up running gears, including a breathable run shirt, with rain proof jacket, a running short over a thermal under-layer, a pair of running shoes, and my cell phone with a pair of earphone. I turned on the hymns before I started to jogging. I finished with constant prayer and pleading to the Lord for that country to be saved by the grace of Jesus Christ. I saw and met quite a group of early running local people. Yet, they did not know what I was doing, and thought maybe just a morning exerciser. I met several Amercians as well on the street. We had no conversation. I met a new arriving family of four on the street, which was a surprise to me. I prayed that G-d may use them as missionaries to preach to local people when they stay. As the time was late, I did not have chance to soak my aching body but after a warm shower, I went for work. Praise G-d that I still have enough energy to deal a flood of people during the day. at night, I took some time to kneel down in front of the big window, and pray for the city and the country. I went to sleep quickly around 10 PM as my body was very tired.
In the fourth day morning, pain seems to become a normal thing in my day. I decided no matter what, I must follow the plan and finish the six day circling and praying for Japan and its people. I knew one thing that the repeating hymns and the faith in my Lord are my strength to go on. I cared not about the speed or the effect of my exercise any more, but spent time to circle it, and to pray for them. this is the last day of trade show in a world exhibition event. due to the accumulation of non-released pain and sour of my body muscles around hip and thigh and low back, walking up and down stairs tore me. But those pains could not stop me doing what I must do. That day, due to the closure of the trade show, I carried a lot of stuff back to the hotel. The weight of those staff unavoidably increased the burden of my walking. i did not have strength to change another train, but called a taxi to drive me back to the hotel. It was the Friday, I must reset as I keep His Sabbath.
In the fifth day morning, this is a Sabbath morning. I got up the bed when the alarm rang. I was thinking to circle seven times that morning as if it would take me about 4 to 5 hours based on my situation. I prayed that the Lord would guide me as I would not reply on my own strength and will. The reason of my motivation as i would not have sufficient time to circle it more on Sunday morning as I would have to move out from the hotel before 11 AM as I would leave Japan to China. I ran two times around the Palace and felt no more strength to go on the third. I went back to the hotel and kept myself in the room without disturbance. After shower, I spent much of the day to do my devotion. the day passed easily. I also spent some time to pray at night for the city.
In the sixth day morning, I felt the pain was reduced a bit. I finished the morning run about 35 minutes and went back to the hotel. after shower and breakfast, I packed my luggage and left the hotel. my walking was somewhat less painful like those in working days. however, I could not handle all the luggage by myself to go through two subtrains. I ordered a Taxi and went to the Tokyo station to take the Express train to the airport. It was very surprised to me that most of my pains went off me just like I dropped my heavy backpack. The praises rose from my heart to my Maker. Then, I awoke from my trip and knew what a battle I had been through. If the grace and love of G-d were not with me, I could be crushed or hospitalized since the first day run. Yet, he knew me and my weakness. He cared me and my little will and strength for his kingdom's sake, he preserved me and delivered me out from the evil's hands and snares. What a merciful and powerful and faithful G-d. Although I might have not accomplished any desired or dreamed outcome, I trust that my battle and edurance and his Love will always remain in my life and in this period of history. I had battled and overcome the suffering. I will keep going on with increased faith and strength for my G-d and my Lord Jesus Christ. Come, oh Lord, Come Quickly to save your saints and your people. Amen forever .
